Get QALS on your machine

The real desktop wallet today, the phone bridge as an install-away PWA (Android = wrapper demo for now), spare machines as relays & compute providers, and five browser demos you can click right now — no tailnet needed for the demos, no real money anywhere.

📱 Phone (Android) PWA today demo · paper money

⚠ Honest status: there is no APK yet. The phone app is the bridge web app — install it to your home screen and it behaves like one. Native APK is on the roadmap.
  1. Join your tailnetInstall Tailscale on the phone and sign in to the same tailnet as your bridge device.
  2. Open the bridge URLIn the phone browser, open your bridge address on the tailnet — e.g. http://minirig:8080. You'll see chats, files and the redeem catalog.
  3. Menu → Add to Home ScreenChrome: ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen. Name it, confirm.
  4. Launch like an appThe icon opens full-screen, no browser bars — chats, whitelisted files, payments as your handle.

🤖 Android app TWA scaffold wrapper demo

⚠ Honest status: the Android app is a wrapper demo — a Trusted Web Activity shell around the phone PWA, not a native app. No APK is built or signed yet; the full APK is planned. The exact bubblewrap recipe lives at website/android/README.md in the repo.
Qals Wallet (Android — TWA build, demo) placeholder → jumps to the PWA install (that's what the wrapper would ship)

Why a wrapper first: the phone experience is already a PWA — a TWA ships it as an APK shell with zero code fork. A real native app (store-signed APK) stays on the roadmap.

⛏ Compute & Node — join the network Arch / CachyOS · systemd --user devnet · paper money

Turn a spare machine into network infrastructure: a relay (encrypted store-and-forward) and a compute provider that sells render / media / inference jobs for Qals. One command per machine, run from a checkout of the ops repo. Everything below is devnet with paper credit — the network is real, the money is not.

# Ash PC (Arch / CachyOS) — relay #3 (:8841, strict PoP) + compute provider (:8850)
ssh ash@ash-pc 'bash -s' < deploy/ashpc/install.sh
# …wallet + desktop launcher only — no relay, no provider:
ssh ash@ash-pc 'bash -s -- --wallet-only' < deploy/ashpc/install.sh

# bb-mini — already fleet node #2 (relay #2 :8840 + provider)
ssh bella@bb-mini 'bash -s' < deploy/bbmini/install.sh

Relay join: after install, point other devices at http://<ashpc-tailscale-ip>:8841 in their --relays list — envelopes replicate across relays, and strict proof-of-possession gates every mailbox. Provider join: one register command (printed by the installer) lists the machine on the market. Full details in deploy/ashpc/README.md.
